IVY joy
Female Vocals
Ivy’s musical journey began early in the Philippines, where she was a consistent winner in singing competitions, most notably as the undefeated champion of the national contest Bagong Kampeon.
Her early success opened doors to a career with ABS-CBN, one of Philippines’s largest television networks, where she front-lined the acoustic group Ivy League, recorded commercial jingles, performed as a backup singer for popular TV programs such as Little Big Star and The Singing Bee, as well as for concerts of top Filipino artists. She later toured Europe as a soloist with the world-renowned UST Singers and starred in the Asian tour of Peter Pan.
After relocating to Toronto, Ivy became the resident female vocalist for the Brampton Symphony Orchestra, while also establishing herself in musical theatre. Her award-winning portrayal of Bloody Mary in South Pacific earned her Best Supporting Actor recognition, showcasing her versatility on stage. Beyond singing, Ivy’s charisma and ease with audiences also led her to hosting, including her own Canadian talk show, Ivy Here.
Today, Ivy continues to share her powerful voice, expansive repertoire, and engaging personality at concerts, events, and across the Toronto live music scene.
